Images on Your Fundraiser Page
Your banner image
The banner runs across the top of your page in a wide strip, so it needs a wide image.
Upload a landscape photo, one that is longer across than it is tall. A portrait photo taken on a phone held upright will be cropped hard, usually through the middle of whatever you wanted people to see.
If your banner looks like half a photo, this is almost always why. Rotate the phone, take the shot again, or crop the image to a wide shape before uploading.
Put the important part of the picture near the centre. The edges are the first thing to go on narrow screens.
Product images
Product images in your catalogue appear alongside each item at checkout. Square or close to square works best, since they display in a grid.
If a product image will not save
You may occasionally see the catalogue report a missing image, or fail with a message about not being able to find the catalogue to update.
Do not delete the catalogue and start again. Deleting it removes the record the system is trying to update and makes the problem harder to fix, not easier.
Contact us instead. We can usually restore the catalogue and get it saving again without you losing your work.
Checking how it looks on a phone
Most of your supporters will open your page on a phone. Look at it on one before you share it.
Long runs of manually inserted line breaks are the other common cause of a page that reads well on a laptop and badly on a phone. Text that you have broken by hand to line up nicely on a wide screen wraps awkwardly on a narrow one. Let the text flow and it will handle both.
